Taking Action!
Leathercraft, and its Implications
I have found myself diving deeper into Leathercraft, spending more of my free time burnishing edges and cutting scraps to stitch together. One of my closest friends independently has found himself working with leather, starting around the same time. He has focused on tooling and crafting functional pieces that see practical use, and I am impressed with the work he has shown me. I see this as a great sign towards my longevity in this discipline
Subsidized Upskilling
All forms of crafting can be expensive, so I am hoping to leverage growing my own skills with fair compensation for my work, potentially turning several pieces out for purchase. My long-term goals would be to use the momentum of upskilling to eventually own crafting warehouses for artisans and the interested to practice their craft, without requiring a shop for themselves. I will go into more detail on a different page in the future.
Going Clubbing?
I put together a group of like-minded people to examine highly regarded texts. More updates to follow later, but I am excited to have more reasons to get people together. It is difficult staying connected with people, even friends you really like, so this gives a purpose to meet regularly. We don’t have a name yet, though I’m sure we will at some point.
